New Features

Diplomacy & Treaties

  • One-time gold tributes can now be offered in peacetime negotiations, with new treaty icons
  • Knowledge Sharing treaty now grants map visibility to both parties
  • Treaty icons added to diplomacy UI for clearer deal presentation
  • Improved diplomacy offer evaluation and UI for one-sided and reciprocal deals

Military

  • Tier-based badge backgrounds for army and navy badges reflect unit quality at a glance
  • Tier indicator added to formation template list and editor
  • Badge tier borders distinguish unit tiers visually
  • Army and navy badge backgrounds now colour-coded by diplomacy status (allied, hostile, neutral, etc.)
  • Vassal armies and navies are now destroyed upon vassalisation

War & Naming

  • Proper war names generated from culture groups and leader names (e.g. "X's Invasion" rather than generic labels)
  • Improved war and rebellion naming throughout

Power Blocs

  • Power bloc leader title now shown in the UI
  • Military bloc membership restricted to commanders
  • New power bloc unrest icon

Map & Visuals

  • Aqueduct arches now visually generated from city to nearest river
  • Curated colour palette for governor map modes (replaces random colours)
  • Governor map mode now labels by governor name instead of ID

UI & Quality of Life

  • Per-notification-type filtering -- choose which notification types you want to see
  • Culture and religion icons added to faction sidebar
  • Tooltips added to roundels
  • Vassalage subtype (Province, Foederati, etc.) now shown in faction sidebar treaties
  • Raw materials category now visible in settlement sidebar
  • Marriage guidance spotlights in character sidebar only show when relevant
  • Loading tips updated for clarity and consistency
  • Blocked cursor now shown when hovering incompatible military types

Events

  • Rewrote all crisis events to make them more engaging dangerous

Balance Changes

  • Halved base religious differences unrest penalty
  • Halved religious unrest base values
  • Public Games edict now boosts entertainment buildings instead of reducing religious unrest
  • AI is now much less likely to accept non-aggression pacts
  • Tribute treaty duration defaults to 1 year instead of 0
  • Rebalanced treaty evaluation; tribute changed to per-month
  • Reduced navy AI emergency hitch cost
  • Strengthened succession crises with higher defection floor and vassal defection
  • Removed military pay goal from legions power bloc
  • Terrain attrition damage now applied directly instead of relying on weekly accumulation

Crashes & Saves

  • Added deterministic save game loading and game initialisation
  • Fixed crash in GetFormattedName when loading a save
  • Fixed crash in PersonIdentity::GetTitles() after loading a save
  • Fixed economy state not restoring correctly when loading a save
  • Fixed fog of war not recalculating immediately on save load
  • Fixed blockades not saving
  • Fixed power bloc demands, faction capital, and other fields not persisting in saves
  • Fixed non-deterministic UpdateTraits call during save restoration
  • New game initialisation is now fully deterministic

Military

  • Fixed military command cleanup on faction transfer and destruction
  • Fixed military production orders not cancelling for previous faction on ownership change
  • Fixed dead characters staying as military leaders
  • Fixed rebel hunting sending armies on suicide missions
  • Fixed replenish button active when not garrisoned in own settlement
  • Fixed auto-replenish causing debt and double-counting spending
  • Fixed overlapping battle unit statistics display
  • Fixed military replenishment tooltip now includes subject settlements
  • Commander stat values in battle action tooltips now rounded

Diplomacy & Wars

  • Peace negotiation now restricted to war leaders only
  • Fixed peace negotiation with vassal factions (no longer possible)
  • Fixed war declaration on vassals of NAP partners (no longer possible)
  • Fixed annexed factions not being destroyed when they still had armies

Power Blocs & Politics

  • Power bloc demands now checked every second instead of monthly
  • Power bloc demands now expire promptly instead of waiting for monthly tick
  • Fixed court bonuses stacking on religious unrest multiplier
  • Fixed Rebellion Imminent warning not always showing as critical
  • Fixed failed demands text showing in power bloc sidebar when count is zero
  • Fixed pretender crisis timing; heirs and pretenders now correctly restricted to male characters
  • Imperial capital can no longer join noble rebellions
  • Updated power bloc warning checks and tooltip calculations

Economy & Trade

  • Fixed income breakdown tooltip not matching HUD gold figure
  • Resources now delivered directly when convoy pathfinding fails
  • One-off resource transfers now sent via convoy instead of instant teleport
  • Trade agreement resources now shown in economy breakdown with guaranteed delivery to player
  • Foederati list in military overview now refreshes when treaties change

UI & Notifications

  • Added ability to filter notifications by type
  • Cinematic notifications now play sequentially instead of overlapping
  • Cinematic notifications now display earliest first
  • Fixed cinematic notifications broken by deferred timer
  • Fixed character sidebar stats not updating when statistics change
  • Fixed garrisoned army glances not updating when faction changes during rebellion
  • Fixed save games panel not closing when pause menu closes
  • Military overview search performance improved

Naming & Text

  • Updated names for Teutonicus culture
  • Vassal revolt naming now uses parent faction name to avoid duplicates
  • Regnal numerals dropped from rebellion faction names to match war name
